Hymn: Deeper, Deeper in the Love of Jesus
Author: Charles P. Jones (1865-1949)

1. Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.

Refrain:
Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher ev‵ry day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy word.

2. Deeper, deeper! blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will.

3. Deeper, deeper! tho‵ it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow.

4. Deeper, higher, ev‵ry day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last.

並且成就祂一切的旨意;

Fear not, peace be unto thee, God is still ruling –
He ruled the world before thou wast born,
and accomplished all His will;
He will rule it when thou art dead,
and fulfil His own decrees.

Why dost thou worry thyself?
What use can thy fretting serve?
Thou art on board a vessel which
thou couldst not steer even if
the great Captain put thee at the helm,
of which thou couldst not so much as reef a sail,
yet thou worriest as if thou wert captain and helmsman.

O, be quiet, God is Master –
dost thou think that all this din and
hurly-burly that is abroad betokens that
God has left His throne?
No, man, His coursers rush furiously on,
and His chariot is the storm,
but there is a bit between their jaws,
and He holds fast the reins
and guides them as He wills!
Jehovah is Master yet – believe it,
peace be unto thee – be not afraid!

(C. H. Spurgeon, 1834-1892)

(Sheet Music of Hymn)

Hymn: There Is a Fountain Filled With Blood
Author: William Cowper (1731-1800)

1. There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel‵s veins;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains:
Lose all their guilty stains,
Lose all their guilty stains;
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood,
Lose all their guilty stains.

2. The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away:
Wash all my sins away,
Wash all my sins away;
And there may I, though vile as he,
Wash all my sins away.

3. Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its pow‵r,
Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved, to sin no more:
Be saved, to sin no more,
Be saved, to sin no more;
Till all the ransomed Church of God
Be saved to sin no more.

4. E‵er since by faith I saw the stream
Thy flowing wounds supply,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die:
And shall be till I die,
And shall be till I die;
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.

無論撒種之人的屬靈光景如何;

But ye shall receive power, after that
the Holy Ghost is comeupon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me...
unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The popular notion that the first obligation
of the Christian Church is to spread the gospel
to the uttermost parts of the earth is false!
Her first obligation is to be spiritually
worthy to spread the gospel.

Our Lord said "Go ye" but He also said "Tarry ye,"
and the tarrying had to come before the going.
Had the disciples gone forth as missionaries
before the day of Pentecost it would have been
an overwhelming spiritual disaster, for they could
have done no more than make converts after
their own likeness, and this would have altered
for the worse the whole history of the Western world
and had consequences throughout the ages to come.

Theoretically the seed, being the Word of God,
should produce the same kind of fruit
regardless of the spiritual condition of those
who scatter it; but it does not work that way!
The identical message preached to the heathen
by men of differing degrees of godliness will
produce different kinds of converts and
result in a quality of Christianity varying
according to the purity and power
of those who preach it.

Christianity will always reproduce after its kind.
A worldly minded, unspiritual church,
when she crosses the ocean to give her witness
to peoples of other tongues and cultures,
is sure to bring forth on other shores
a Christianity much like her own!

Hymn: Oh How I Love Jesus
Author: Frederick Whitfield (1829-1904)

1. There is a name I love to hear,
I love to sing its worth;
It sounds as music in my ear,
The sweetest name on earth.

Refrein:
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Oh, how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me.

2. It tells me of a Savior‵s love,
Who died to set me free;
It tells me of His precious blood,
The sinner‵s perfect plea.

3. It tells me what my Father hath
In store for ev‵ry day;
And though I tread a darksome path,
Yields sunshine all the way.

4. It tells of One whose loving heart
Can feel my deepest woe,
Who in each sorrow bears a part,
That none can bear below.

沒有什麼可以傾覆這樣的生命;

Buried with Him…that…even so we also should walk
in newness of life. No one enters into the experience
of entire sanctification without going through
a "white funeral" – the burial of the old life.
If there has never been this crisis of death,
sanctification is nothing more than a vision.
There must be a "white funeral,"
a death that has only one resurrection –
a resurrection into the life of Jesus Christ.
Nothing can upset such a life; it is one with God
for one purpose, to be a witness to Him.

Have you come to your last days really?
You have come to them often in sentiment,
but have you come to them really?
You cannot go to your funeral
in excitement, or die in excitement.
Death means you stop being.
We skirt the cemetery and
all the time refuse to go to death.
It is not striving to go to death,
it is dying – "baptized into His death."

Have you had your "white funeral," or
are you sacredly playing the fool with your soul?
Is there a place in your life marked as the last day,
a place to which the memory goes back with
a chastened and extraordinarily grateful remembrance –
"Yes, it was then, at that white funeral, that I made an agreement
with God"? Are you willing to go through that "white funeral" now?
Do you agree with Him that this is your last day on earth?
The moment of agreement depends upon you.

(Oswald Chambers, 1874-1917)

(Sheet Music of Hymn)

在早晨,在晚上,只有一世間;

主耶穌,我求你,仍與我同止;

求你用你榮耀照亮每一句;
求垂聽我禱告,賜彀用恩典;

讓我心切羨慕早日會見你;
在早晨,在晚上,只有一世間;

Hymn: Lord Jesus, I Long in Thy Presence to Live
Author: Lady Powerscourt (1800-1836)

1. Lord Jesus, I long in Thy presence to live,
From morning to evening my one world Thou art;
O let not my heart be contented or rest
When loving or seeking what with Thee doth part.
Each moment, each day, throughout suff’ring and pain,
When nought in the world can give comfort or cheer,
When sighing and weeping encompasses me,
Lord, still all my sighing and wipe every tear.

2. Each time when I dream of the goodness of life,
I pray Thee, dear Lord, that Thou in it may be;
O do not allow me to choose by myself,
Nor seek any pleasure that’s other than Thee.
Each night when alone in the stillness I lie,
I pray Thee, Lord Jesus, that Thou wilt be near;
Each morning ere dawn comes, while still in my sleep,
Then whispering call me and open my ear.

3. Each time, Lord, when reading in Thy holy Word,
I pray that Thy glory may shine on each line,
That clearly I’ll see what a Savior I have
And how great salvation that Thou hast made mine.
When helpless I come, Lord, to kneel at Thy throne,
I pray Thee to hear me and grant me Thy grace;
If thru my shortcomings Thou hear not my prayer,
Withdraw not Thy presence, O hide not Thy face.

4. Each time when of heavenly blessings I think,
O let my heart long to be raptured to Thee;
My only hope here is Thy coming again,
My only joy there, Lord, Thy presence will be.
Lord, teach me each day in Thy presence to live,
From morning to evening my one world Thou art;
O let not my heart be contented or rest
When loving or seeking what with Thee doth part.
