藝術是有組織的美麗;
音樂是組織過的聲音;
哲學是有組織的思想;
科學是組織化的知識;

I have been for years much distressed about
the tendency to overorganize the Christian community,
and I have for that reason had it charged against me
that I do not believe in organization.
The truth is quite otherwise!
A certain amount of organization is necessary
everywhere throughout the created universe
and in all human society. Without it there could be
no science, no government, no family unit, no art,
no music, no literature, no creative activity of any kind.

The man who would oppose all organization
in the church must needs be ignorant of
the facts of life. Art is organized beauty;
music is organized sound;
philosophy is organized thought;
science is organized knowledge;
government is merely society organized.
And what is the true Church of Christ but organized mystery?

The throbbing heart of the Church is life—
in the happy phrase of Henry Scougal,
"the life of God in the soul of man."
This life, together with the actual presence of Christ
within her, constitutes the Church a divine thing,
a mystery, a miracle! Yet without substance,
form and order this divine life would
have no dwelling place, and no way
to express itself to the community.

There is real danger in the efforts of some
to substituteorganization for life,
so that while they have a name to live
they are spiritually dead.

Hymn: Holy, Holy, Holy
Author: Reginald Heber (1783-1826)

1. Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

2. Holy, Holy, Holy! All the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
Who wert, and art, and evermore shalt be.

3. Holy, Holy, Holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee
Perfect in pow‵r, in love, and purity.

4. Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy Name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, Holy, Holy! Merciful and Mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!

患難幾乎總是使我們仰望神;

Look unto Me, and be ye saved.

Do we expect God to come to us with His blessings
and save us? He says — “Look unto Me, and be saved.”
The great difficulty spiritually is to concentrate on God,
and it is His blessings that make it difficult.
Troubles nearly always make us look to God;
His blessings are apt to make us look elsewhere.
Narrow all your interests until the attitude of mind
and heart and body is concentration on Jesus Christ.

Many of us have a mental conception of
what a Christian should be, and the lives
of the saints become a hindrance to
our concentration on God.
There is no salvation in this way,
it is not simple enough.

Rouse yourself up and look to God.
Build your hope on Him.
No matter if there are a hundred
and one things that press, resolutely
exclude them all and look to Him.
“Look unto Me,” and salvation is,
the moment you look.

(Sheet Music of Hymn)
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/xu7af55i1gekiue/AAC9GCDFEiOCXxxHQSo5cZn8a?dl=0

Hymn: I Will Sing the Wondrous Story
Author: Francis H. Rowley (1854-1952)

1. I will sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ who died for me,
How He left His home in glory
For the cross of Calvary.

Refrain:
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.

2. I was lost but Jesus found me,
Found the sheep that went astray,
Threw His loving arms around me,
Drew me back into His way.

3. I was bruised but Jesus healed me;
Faint was I from many a fall;
Sight was gone, and fears possessed me,
But He freed me from them all.

4. Days of darkness still come o’er me,
Sorrow’s path I often tread,
But the Savior still is with me;
By His hand I’m safely led.

而你卻談及各種各樣普通平庸之事;

How much have you to dispense?
Are you sure that you are dispensing what you have?
The Lord did not lead you through that trial,
through that darkness, through that strange experience,
just for your own sake. The Lord has not dealt with you
as He has, in order that you should be shut up to yourself,
to enjoy the result alone. He has done that to constitute
you a steward. If you and I will only allow that fact to
govern us in the days of difficulty and trial,
it will help us through. We should hold fast to the fact that
the trial is to mean enrichment for the Lord‵s people, and
an increase of equipment and qualification for stewardship.
Ask the Lord to release you into your stewardship within your measure.

Children of God may cross your path in dire need,
and may all the time be looking for the person
who can help them. They have been crying to the Lord
to meet the need, and have been watching to see
how the Lord would answer. They may cross your path,
and you talk upon all sorts of ordinary things;
they pass on their way, and you have failed in your stewardship.
They have not received that for which they have been asking,
and the steward has disappointed the Lord,
and those who were looking to the Lord.
Let us ask the Lord to give us release
from our tied-up state, to fulfill this stewardship.

The Lord‵s Word is: "...it is required in stewards,
that a man be found faithful," not eloquent,
intellectual, or with a strong personality,
none of those things. What is your mental conception
of a steward? One who has a great facility of speech,
who finds no difficulty in talking? No! "...it is required
in stewards, that a man be found faithful."

Hymn: Rock of Ages
Author: Augustus M. Toplady (1740-1778)

1. Rock of ages shelter me,
Let me hide myself in thee!
Let the water, and the blood,
From thy wounded side which flow‵d,
Be of sin the double cure,
Cleanse me from its guilt and power.

2. Not the labour of my hands
Can fulfil thy law‵s demands;
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears for ever flow,
All for sin could not atone,
Thou must save, and thou alone.

3. Nothing in my hand I bring,
Simply to thy cross I cling;
Naked come to thee for grace;
Helpless, look to thee for grace;
Black, I to the fountain fly,
Wash me, Saviour, or I die!

4. While I draw this fleeting breath,
When mine eye-strings break in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See thee on thy judgment throne,
Rock of ages shelter me,
Let me hide myself in thee.

King David‵s dream was to build a temple for the Lord.
During much of his life, David was a soldier.
He defended Israel from her enemies
and brought about peace in the land.
But then he wanted to turn from battling to building.
He wanted to exchange the sword for a trowel.

But God did not allow David to fulfill
this high and holy ambition.
Solomon, his son, built the temple instead.
David was disappointed at first but then said,
"If this is the will of God, I‵ll accept it."
Then he did the most wonderful thing:
he helped the next generation build the temple.
David provided the plans and millions of dollars
in gold, silver, precious stones, bronze and iron.

We may not fulfill all of our plans and ambitions,
but we can do the next best thing.
If God doesn‵t let us accomplish our goals,
let‵s help somebody else meet his goals.
Let‵s pay the bill. Let‵s give our wisdom.
Let‵s encourage. We can‵t do everything,
but we can do something.

If your dreams are not fulfilled in the will of God, help fulfill
someone else‵s dreams by sharing your talents and resources.
When you‵re concerned more with God‵s glory
and not with who gets the credit,
He can use you in more ways to accomplish His purposes.
Let God use you in the ways He sees best.
