The greatest Advocate we have is God.
During the week we may go through difficulties.
People may lie about us, and uncomfortable situations
may arise because people don‵t like us.
Sometimes we are misunderstood and criticized.
You may be going through such an experience today.
But God is with you in the trials of life.
When you and I are on trial, He pleads and
defends our case. He can handle the dispute.
He also can accomplish our redemption, our deliverance.
We are not going to be found guilty,
and we are not going to be put in jail.
God sets His people free in the difficulties of life.

God can overcome your discouragement.
When you‵ve been through a tough experience,
you feel discouraged and let down.
But God lifts you above discouragement
with His reviving power.
Today, Jesus is pleading your case in heaven.
He is your Heavenly Advocate and your High Priest.
He gives you the grace to stay away
from temptation and sin.
But if you sin, you can go to your Advocate.
He will forgive you, cleanse you and plead your case.
When others create difficulties for you,
let God handle your dispute.
He will deliver you and lift you
above your discouragement.
Likewise, Jesus will plead your case
before the Father and forgive you.

因為知道祂正在保守著我們。

我們在祂的名裡出去爭戰，而且享受著同樣的看護。

Just as a hen protects her brood and
allows them to nestle under her wings,
so will the Lord defend His people,
and permit them to hide away in Him.
Have we not seen the little chicks
peeping out from under
the mother’s feathers?
Have we not heard their
little cry of contented joy?
In this way let us shelter ourselves
in our God, and feel overflowing peace
in knowing that He is guarding us.

We go out to war in His name and enjoy the same guardian care.
We need shield and buckler, and when we implicitly trust God,
even as the chick trusts the hen, we find His truth arming us
from head to foot. The Lord cannot lie; He must be faithful
to His people; His promise must stand. This sure truth is
all the shield we need. Behind it we defy the fiery darts
of the enemy. Come, my soul, hide under those great wings,
lose thyself among those soft feathers!

God in love and wisdom has given us
in His Holy Spirit every gift and power
and help that we need to serve Him.
We do not have to look around
for some other way!

The most solemn aspect of this is
our individual responsibility.
The Bible teaches that a day is coming
when we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Christ;
that everyone faces a review of the things
done in the body, whether good or bad.

In that day we will be fully exposed and the things that
we have done in our own strength and for our own glory
will be quickly blown away, like worthless straw and stubble,
forever separated from the kind of deeds and ministries
which were wrought by the Spirit and

which are described as eternal treasures
in the sight of God, gold and silver and
precious stones that the fire cannot harm.
In that day, all that is related to the work of the flesh
will perish and pass away, and only that which has been
wrought by the Spirit of God will remain and stand.
